Do I need editing software to use ClipCam?

No. ClipCam has no timeline and no manual editing. You record, the cloud renders the merge, and you share — that's the whole flow.

What are Duos?

A Duo is a finished side-by-side reaction clip made in ClipCam. Duos is also the in-app feed where those clips live — a swipeable, reels-style stream you can scroll, like, comment on, and reshare. It's built-in distribution for your reactions without re-uploading anywhere else.

Are my Duos public? Who can see them?

Only if you choose to publish them. Every reaction you record stays private to your account by default. When you tap Publish, the clip gets a public page on the Duos feed that anyone can watch, like, comment on, and share via link. You can keep clips private and just download or share them yourself instead.

Do I have to publish my reactions to Duos?

Accepted Answer

No. Publishing to Duos is optional. You can always just export the finished side-by-side and share it to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or X — or save it to your device — without ever posting to the feed.

Can I export for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels?

Yes. Pick a 9:16 aspect ratio when you start the project and ClipCam re-frames both streams so neither gets cropped. 16:9 is available for full-length YouTube and 1:1 for Instagram feed.

Where are my recordings stored?

Your source clips and reactions upload to ClipCam's cloud (Cloudflare R2) so the render workers can process them. Finished exports stream back to your device and stay in your library until you delete them or close your account. See the privacy policy for full detail.

Can I delete my videos and account?

Yes. From inside the app, open Profile → Delete account. You can also use the public self-serve flow at clipcam.app/delete-account without having to sign back into the app.

Does ClipCam keep working without an internet connection?

Recording works offline — your phone captures both streams locally. Merging and sharing need an internet connection because the render runs in the cloud. The export uploads and finishes as soon as you reconnect.

How long does an export take?

Most clips finish in under a minute. Longer source clips and Free-tier exports may take a couple of minutes during peak hours; Pro exports go through a priority queue.

Can I react to a YouTube video?

Yes — you can download the source clip first (using any tool you already use) and import it into ClipCam, then record your reaction over the top. Make sure you have the rights to use whatever clip you upload; see our copyright notes in the Terms of Service.

Can I cancel my Pro subscription?

Yes. React to Screen lets you share a browser tab, a window, or your whole screen and react in real time — it works with YouTube, Twitch, and any open stream. Your camera sits in a circle over the content, and ClipCam merges the side-by-side automatically. DRM video like Netflix is blocked by the browser and can't be captured.

Yes. Paste a YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram URL in the source step and ClipCam imports the clip — no download or screen recorder needed. Pick an import quality, trim to the moment you want, and react over it.

Suggested clips highlights the liveliest moments of your recording, so you can export a short cut for Shorts, TikTok, or Reels — or keep the full take for YouTube. No timeline scrubbing required.

How do I balance the clip volume and my voice?

Accepted Answer

ClipCam ducks the source audio under your mic automatically while you record, and on the preview screen two sliders let you set how loud the clip and your voice play in the final export. If you recorded with headphones, drag the source down so its audio isn't doubled.
